Flores has undergone a coffee-growing renaissance in only the past five years, with many parts of the island now growing 100% certified organic beans. Manggarai is a district in the central part of the island, with several high volcanic craters. Our Flores Organic Manggarai is grown at 4,000 to 6,000 feet above sea level, on hillsides and plateaus, under shade trees. It's then hand-picked and processed at the farm, using a unique local method called "Giling Basah" (wet hulled) that increases the complexity of the cup.
